Photoscape is a more advanced photo editor that includes so many features, it is hard to believe that it is a free program.  It has a very modern and fun main menu so that you can access it’s many features quickly.

I must admit that when I first downloaded this software, I sat at the computer and played with it for several hours. This program is not for those who are only looking to resize a photo or reduce red-eye every now and then. As I said before, this program has a ton of features with many, many toolbars. Therefore, the entire layout may seem intimidating to users who are not very comfortable with photo editing.

Having said that, if you take some time to familiarize yourself with the many aspects of this program… I believe you will learn to love it! Some of the features that I love are the: Batch Editor, Numerous Filter Effects, Several One-Click Fixes and the overall layout of the editor.

My favorite effect so far is the “Box” filter. I have included a sample below.
